FBI San Diego Division Press Release:

FBI to Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at New Sorrento Valley Location

FBI San Diego July 29, 2013
  • Darrell Foxworth (858) 320-8302
  • Emily Yeh (858) 320-8312
Daphne Hearn, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the San Diego FBI Field Office, announces the FBI, General Services Administration, and the Molasky Group of Companies will co-host a ribbon cutting ceremony at the FBI’s new location at 10385 Vista Sorrento Parkway in San Diego, California, 92121. The event will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 10:00 a.m.
“The new location and modern facility provides the men and women of San Diego FBI the platform to overcome the unique challenges that law enforcement agencies can potentially face when protecting the community,” commented SAC Hearn. The approximately 250,000 square foot facility, built to a LEED GOLD level of sustainability, allows access and proximity to the FBI’s areas of jurisdiction. The state-of-the-art facility was also designed to encourage collaboration and communication through its fully functional design.
Ruth Cox, Regional Administrator for GSA, said, “GSA’s Pacific Rim Region is extremely proud of the work we do on behalf of our customer agencies. We are excited to play a role in providing the FBI the facilities they need to support their expanding mission and their enhanced security and technology requirements.” Molasky provided a facility in line with the needs of the FBI. Molasky Chairman Irwin Molasky stated, “We are proud to give the brave men and women of FBI San Diego, a building worthy of this agency’s efforts to protect our nation and its citizens. The building, like today’s FBI, will be strong, flexible, modern, and able to meet tomorrow’s challenges.”
Invited guests will have an opportunity to get a first-hand look at the new San Diego FBI facility during a tour of the facility.
